Van Persie and Fabregas DID NOT have an Arsenal Heart

Hi guys,

Hope the Liverpool win thrilled you. Anyways, wanted to share a few thoughts with you all.

All right, I know that Fabregas, RvP and Song are all past history but can’t help think whether they were smart enough to understand why they were leaving. Yes, I know some of you will say money, trophies, childhood memories etc. but was that a good enough reason. I don’t think so and here’s why.

Let’s take Fabregas. Here was a guy who was the heart of Arsenal’s midfield. Granted, Barcelona was where his heart was at (although I wonder if it would be if they were relegated but that’s another story) and that’s why he moved. But from being guaranteed a start in every Arsenal match he left it to become a substitute or maybe get a start occasionally in hopes of getting a winner’s medal at Barca. Why?

RvP. Ok he’s come off at the back of a hat trick and has got 4 goals already but he is in a team where Rooney is the hero and will be difficult to displace the moment he loses his goal scoring form for even a couple of matches. Berbatov has just said that he lost respect for Fergie which made him move (ok maybe he’s not an angel) but doesn’t that tell you something about the coach? How many players have said the same thing about Wenger even after leaving? Not one comes to mind.

For Van Persie was it worth risking it all at Arsenal if what I’m saying really does happen?

I guarantee you that when Arsenal do win, the satisfaction that this (present) bunch will derive will be more immense than any of City, Chelsea or United’s triumphs because this will be on pure football and not money power.

As a Man United fan said last year after losing the league “Don’t understand why we are cribbing about City winning the league on its financial strength. The financial value of United’s players on show today was higher than that of City. Every Premier League triumph in the last decade has been on the base of financial strength except for Wenger’s Arsenal. Their win was based on pure football”

That’s why I’m a gooner. Somewhere Fabregas & Van Persie are thinking on the same lines and will know Í’m right. They didn’t listen to their heart. Their inner child screwed them.

Ankeet. You may get slated on the Cesc Fabregas vote. But my friend you have my vote all the way. But Van Persie was much much worse. The fans are the real ones that care (Not the players)

Fabregas is true but harsh will forgive him .RVP is a real mercenary and even if he wins golden boot dis year he will b benched for rooney and welbeck .Honestly can’t believe that any manager drops the leagues top scorer for a out of form angry striker(Rooney 2010 -2011)

i agree with some of ur points ank but come on can u really blame them for leaving a team that struggles year on year and has done so for a good few seasons now i have no doubt fab did and still does have afc in his heart but those affections are clearly shared with his possibly even greater feelings 4 barca but the strange thing is in imo fab would have left 4 barca at some stage regardless of whether afc won trophies or not, however i truly believe rvp would have stayed at afc if they were winning things and still truly highly competitive instead of sliding year on year and selling their best players to barca and mcfc, the stangeness comes in when u consider how afc fans see those 2 players currently and how close my opinions are to truth. Lets not forget the true pain of the rvp situation is caused by seeing him doin so well at united but it is the club that did not work hard enough to sell him abroad out of sight out of mind cos for 15m he did not have a shortage of takers but afc just wanted to sell to highest bidders regardless of who it was. I know fball is business first now but sometimes u have to accept a small loss for the bigger gain and i bet wenger is now regretting the gamble he took by selling him to united and wishes he took the 5m hit and just sold him to juve or bayern who were both very keen for around 15m, especially juve who thought they had deal tied up only see afc hold out for more money. What a greedy shame cos i cant be the only one whose great sunday display and triumph against lpool was almost totally spoilt by the site of seeing our former king rvp singlehandedly save that lot from a certain shock defeat at the hands of a impressive southampton performance. i bet it hurt wenger too.

I think you speak as a true fan and i agree with some of what you say.
I also think that there is a lot of sentimental feelings towards Fabregas because he moved home and more importantly another league.
In a perfect world all our best players would leave for the Chinese league never to be heard of again.
But unfortunately that is not realistic.
My expectation of players are slightly different.
I want them to give 100 per cent in our shirt
apprceciate how lucky they are to play for us and be honest when having contract talks.some gratitude would’nt go a miss either Mr Nasri and Cole.
RVP was more honest with us than Fabregas. He told the truth.Alex Song had Arsenal heart and we sold him.
I have criticised wenger in recent weeks for some transfer dealings but i will never ever question his honesty or integrity as a man and a manager. He is pure class.
I will choose honesty every time. Sol Campbell committed the ultimate football crime by joining us and i love him.
A double in his first season proved him right.
I hated seeing RVP scoring a hat-trick on Sunday but deep down i cannot see it lasting. We are not the most successful club right now but we are the most honest and unique.
We also have Wenger to thank for that.

What ever you do for a living, job satisfaction is important. No matter how much you earn.
Otherwise why would we have nurses?
Loosing big games and ending the season with nothing time and again cannot be ignored.
Football is tribal and rivalries are strong but to condenm someone for wanting more from a profession or from life is hypocritical.Earning loads does not stop them from being human. Stop putting them on a pedestal.
worth remembering the next time you apply for that next promotion or switch companies because they offer more money and better prospects etc.
Harry Redknaap has heart according to the media. Arsene Wenger has honesty.Which one would you pick?

RvP in my opinion is a coward. He’s afraid of failure and didnt have faith in his teammates.

I’m not going to say that he doesnt love arsenal cos it was clear that he gave everything he had in his final year but he clearly does not have faith in himself that he can bring arsenal all the way up so he took the easy way out.

Cesc on another hand (IMO) respects and loves arsenal just as much as king henry did. Just because he left arsenal doesnt mean that he doesnt mean that he’s not a true gooner.

I dont see anyone saying king henry didnt have an arsenal heart do i? he left arsenal for barca to win trophies as well. but different from RVP, he didnt choose to move to a fierce league rival. Henry had too much respect for arsenal to play for a league rival.
