Nitesh: Does Arsenal have the experience it needs now? 3

Posted on September 27, 2011 by Nitesh

A major issue with Arsenal’s team in the last 5 years or so has been that it has been too inexperienced. This is true; as much as I support the youth project and everything else Arsene and Arsenal stand for, you can’t argue that there’s no substitute for experience. Except, of course, exceptional young talent!

But now it seems that the scene has changed a bit. Take a look at Arsenal’s first team now, provided all are fit, which is seldom the case……

James: An analysis of Arsenal’s signings Part 1- Jenkinson, Gervinho, AOC and Campbell 11

Posted on September 03, 2011 by Nitesh

The transfer window finished with a bang for Arsenal fans with the late signings of Chu – Young Park, Andre Santos, Per Mertersacker, Yossi Benayoun and Mikel Arteta. The sales of key players such as Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri earlier in the window meant it was imperative for Wenger to plug gaps in the midfield as well as strengthening other positions in the squad. The acquisitions came late in the window and a few probably as a result of the mauling received at the hands of Manchester United last week. This article is going to address all the new signings and what they may, or may not bring to the team.

Jason: Scouting for Arsenal- Younes ‘The Moroccan Hazard’ Belhanda [Videos] 11

In my previous posting, I mentioned Eden Hazard frequently, and surmised that he should be continually monitored in case of a possible transfer opportunity. Well I am here to inform you, that there are other options out there besides Hazard. He is not the “solution for everything”, or the only player we should be keen on for a transfer to Arsenal.

I came across a player who is actually very similar to Hazard, and in my opinion, plays a lot like a speedier version of (young) Fabregas.

Kashmaster: A look here and there- Arsenal players on International duty ! 6

Arsenal’s international results…….by Kashmaster

An international break couldn’t have come at a better time. It would be a good chance for the lads to put the last couple of weeks behind them and start afresh for the match against Swansea.

England’s U21 game against Azerbaijan looked very impressive. It was expected that the Arsenal players were the key players who orchestrated the 6-0 win. Lansbury looked sharp as he scored a brace and assisted if my memory serves me correctly. Oxlade looked very pacey indeed; he also looked a tad more nimble and definitely stronger than Walcott did at his age.

SV Gunner: A depressed Arsenal fan searching for positives, and finding some! 13

Depressed…….by SV Gunner

There are no words to describe how I am feeling at the moment. Some words get close. Depressed. In disbelief. Shocked. We were absolutely destroyed today by a rampant Manchester Utd. We were outclassed in almost every position and the ease with which Utd picked us apart is ridiculous. Let me give you a breakdown of the abysmal ‘performance’ that our team put up today.

Not Time for Wenger to go……by Paul Dean

Those of who you who want Arsene Wenger out need to think about this logically.

We’ve had a pretty poor start to the season, not even results wise but with 14 players injured or suspended, losing our first game in 12 to Liverpool; and of course our best players wanting to leave because they’re unsure we have what it takes to compete with the big boys. To be fair, who can blame them? We have a board and a Manager and who is too lethargic, stubborn and inflexible when it comes to transfer dealings we have money spend it.

Do we really need to buy?……..by Shepherd Mlambo

I have been looking at the reserve’s results as well as our loan watch and have been impressed with the performance of our youngsters. The youth and reserve teams perform extremely well which shows that the youth policy is paying dividends, but none of these players seem to get a serious look into the first XI especially from the defense perspective where we have been found wanting.

I dare anyone to contest that we do not have any talent in the youth and reserves waiting to break through and make a difference. Among the array of starlets that I think deserve a chance this season are;
