Arsenal and her many World Class Players by WAC

A world class player is a player who regardless of the occasion shows his true qualities. Be it long range shots, dribbles, great saves, endurance or simply the ability to dazzle, he has something unique and he shows it to all everytime he has the opportunity. It doesnt matter if he is playing against Man United or if he is playing against Wycombe or even Barcelona. He is always ready to weave his magic!

Yesterday, I had done a post on the defenders at Arsenal, and how they are constantly undermined by most of the footballing fraternity. Today, I’ll focus on Arsenal’s midfield, which has always been the envy of other teams. The pretty triangles, the tippy-tappy passes, the dancing feet– Arsenal midfielders used to have it all. In the last few years, it’s somehow waned a bit, but I believe it’s returning in all its glory.

Paul: Robin van Persie not considered for the Ballon D’Or ?! 8

This is a disgrace!!!

Arsenal striker RVP has been snubbed on the shortlist for the World Player of the Year award….

The Ballon d’Or is a who’s who of the best players from across the world and is supposed to be, correct me if I am wrong, based on players performances in the Calendar year. Barcelona playmaker Messi and Real Madrid superstar Ronaldo are amongst the contenders to claim the coveted prize. Whilst RVP would be unlikely to win the award ahead of such esteemed opposition, (let’s face it, Messi will win it again), not to be included amongst the top 23 is a bloody disgrace and an insult to our intelligence.

Paul: Does Arsenal need 1 or actually 2 world-class strikers? 8

I have been thinking recently on the above question and with January coming up I think the answer is yes. If we take a look at the options we currently have and if God forbid that RVP got injured or if what we read and believe he leaves, then we will be in trouble. Here, I go through the candidates and then you can judge. The possibles to replace RVP at the club at the moment are—– Walcott, Chamakh, Park.
