Arsenal risking our season on Giroud’s fitness 1

Posted on September 04, 2015 by Pat

Giving shape to the worst fears of Gunners’ fans, Arsenal have announced that striker Danny Welbeck will be out for “a period of months”. The 24-year-old England forward was operated on his left knee after he could not step up his rehabilitation work. This was confirmed on the club’s official website.

Welbeck was working hard throughout the summer to recover from the injury he sustained at the end of April. He even missed the pre-season and was expected to be fit by the turn of September, but the latest statement on Arsenal’s official website put those hopes to rest.

A revisit to last years Man City v Arsenal game – Disaster! 0

Posted on January 17, 2015 by admin

The big matchup of this weekend sees Manuel Pellegrini’s Manchester City taking on Arsenal at the Etihad. This match was played last season in mid-December 2013 and ended in humiliation for Arsenal Manager Arsène Wenger, as his team were comprehensively outclassed and beaten 6-3 by a rampant City side. Arsenal stayed top of the table, but this win moved City within three points of the leaders, simultaneously sending out an ominous message to their title challengers.

City occasionally dropped points away last season, but they were consistently impressive at home, dismantling teams comprehensively, with this game no exception. Arsenal did put up a gallant effort, but in reality they were destroyed by a rampant City side.

Arsenal fans demand their money’s worth in pricy Spurs FA cup clash 1

Posted on January 04, 2014 by Bob

Arsenal will welcome their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the Emirates this Saturday for the FA Cup 3rd round tie that has caused the financial uproar of the season. There has been a lot of complaints and reports in the social media over the match day tickets, which are ranging up to a supposed £125 according to today’s Daily Mail. The Category A game, which should be classed as a category B game at the very most, has left fans hoping that, for the sake of what we are being forced to pay, that Arsenal turn out with quality and class to overturn Spurs with all guns blazing.

Team news and Preview of Arsenal vs. Southampton – Walcott return? 1

Posted on November 23, 2013 by Bob

Arsenal are finally back from the international break and to be honest, it did us a world of good. A plethora of players got an entire week’s rest and the likes of Ramsey and Arteta even got two weeks. It also afforded us the time to properly bring Walcott back into training and he is completely fit to play again (although he’ll understandably be rusty for the next couple of games).

Southampton at home is going to be one of the more difficult games this season. They have been excellent this season and Pochettino has ensured that Southampton build on their good work last season by amassing an impressive 22 points at such an early stage and there is no sign they’ll let up.

`Next Big Thing` Gnabry is committed to Arsenal – AH 0

Posted on October 10, 2013 by Bob

Serge Gnabry looks to be the next young talent to really make it at Arsenal, having played in the last few games for the Gunners. Ever since he joined the club he has always been highly rated and valued amongst the Arsenal set up and Arsene Wenger himself, whilst it hasn’t been until this season that Arsenal fans have managed to take a real look at this German talent.

Is Walcott Right about Arsenal lacking belief? 1

Posted on January 23, 2013 by Bob

Theo Walcott has just signed a new Arsenal contract and has called on his team-mates to show more confidence between now and the rest of the season.

Arsenal supporters have often seen Theo Walcott lack confidence when it comes to putting the ball in the net, although the England winger-cum-forward has issued a rallying call this week and claims that the Gunners need to believe in themselves more.

Chelsea ran Arsenal ragged for the first half of Sunday’s match at Stamford Bridge before the visitors came right back into the game thanks to Walcott’s goal although they were unable to score an equaliser despite lots of pressure.

Vinay – 2012 was tough for Arsenal fans! 4

2012 – the year of purse and Persie by Vinay

As the year comes to an end there was no doomsday as the mayans said, there was doom gloom and a bit of bloom as well for the Gunners. The classic case of dejavu on a few things and a promise of things getting better as well.

Maddy – Arsenal need change including the manager! 7

Posted on December 07, 2012 by Bob

This is the second article I am writing and I really feel it’s time for Arsenal to change. Even though I love the way Arsenal play, being realistic we have to play like a team who want results. We focus too much on passing, that sometimes I think we forget that the objective of the game is to score goals, not have more possession.

John – Podolski should be Arsenal’s centre-forward from NOW! 17

Posted on November 30, 2012 by admin

Hello fellow gooners.

It’s been a while so I thought I’d write a small blog on a matter that’s been bugging me for a while now. WHY is Podolski being given the Arshavin treatment and being played out wide. Yes I’m sure there is a lot of you Theo fans that will have your say. But to me this is a wasted touch of class. Podolski has one of the best left foots in the game and the guy has now stated he is not the classic winger. I hate to question Wenger as I believe he without question is one of the greatest football managers of all time. But again like Arshavin why is Podolski being used in this way. He has been very ineffective at times out wide unless he starts to drift in like he did against Montpellier and Spurs. Any doubters on here trust me he is a classy little player. At times I get so angry because if I can see it, why cant others that know the game better than myself.

Alfin – Analysis of Theo Walcott against Schalke 7

Walcott against Schalke by Alfin

The contract rebel walcott has been in spotlight since the start of the season. According to him the reason behind his refusal to sign is that he needs to play as a central striker, while according to the Arsenal board he is not satisfied with his weekly wage. Whatever may be the situation this post analyses his performance against schalke.

Pros- The goal he scored was very well taken. Giroud pondered while walcott pounced on it like a goal poacher. For the rest of the game half he helped sagna to limit the attacks through right side. Also he was trying to get himself into some interesting positions.
