John Collard: Will Wenger again offer Henry a loan spell? 9

Posted on April 22, 2012 by Nitesh

Hello Gooners.

Just a quick blog on your views towards Henry and whether you think he has kicked his last ball for Arsenal. Or do you feel another loan spell is on the cards. And this comes after the constant talk of Robin Van Persie and if he’ll sign his contract. And also the much needed signing of Podolski. Do you feel Wenger will again approach our God-like genius for help?

Sunderland 1-2 Arsenal: Arsene’s substitutes win it to take us into fourth place 14

It was just meant to be. King Henry scored with his first game back in England against Leeds, and he scores in his last game in England. It was just written in the stars, and destiny was fulfilled.

To be fair, I wouldn’t have blamed the lads one bit whatever the result. The pitch was Disgraceful, and resembled more of a junkyard than at a Premier League stadium for a match watched by millions. Even the stadiums over here in India aren’t that bad, and that’s saying something!

John Collard: Henry is the secret behind Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s form at Arsenal 17

Henry – Has he given oxlade the va va voom?

Hey Gooners, John Collard here. (THE LOVE CHILD OF MR WENGER)

What I would like to talk about today is the form of young Oxlade Chamberlain. Looks like we have found another gem to run up and down the wing, or should I say, here, there and everywhere. Oxlade has often said Henry was a hero of his so has Wenger pulled off possibly our best signing since Arteta? (Yes, it’s Henry) Oxlade looks shell-shocked around Henry and as the substitution was made the embrace of the young talent that is Oxlade and the old war horse that is Henry, it was there for everyone to see. Oxlade was in a magic moment. I have no doubt the signing of Henry has pushed this unbelievable talent to a quicker goal.

Weslee: Has Henry just filled the missing link at Arsenal? 8

It was an interesting game to watch. Not terribly exciting watching Leeds try to do what most lower (down the table) teams do when faced with Arsenal’s passing game. I watched as the passing game played out very well. No scoring but the passing was easy on the eye. I paid close attention to Chamak to see how he would do and in this game he was really pushing hard but he did not have the service he needed. It seemed that there is no teammate who can kick the ball towards his head. I have seen this done in many other teams but not with this Arsenal side. I still say that he should be played with Van Persie. This would open up the opposition a lot more. A lonely Van Persie patrolling the enemy line gives him few chances to score. Give Van Persie credit, he has the ability to use those chances with success. What I would like to see is that Van Persie gets lots more chances by having the opposition worry about Chamak heading in the ball. I believe that Chamak should be utilized when he returns from the Nations Cup competition. How many corners must go wanting ? It has to be resolved. No team that I have recently seen has worried about any of the Arsenal players heading the ball into the net. Look at how often the opposition give away the corners and don’t look worried.

Nitesh: Henry shows he can still work out at the highest level at Arsenal [Video] 0

Thierry Henry had the dream re-start to his Arsenal career yesterday with the winning goal in an otherwise-monotonous FA Cup game. Coming off the bench, winning the cup match for Arsenal, TH12 showed why he is, and will always be, an Arsenal legend.

I had done a blog previously, giving my opinion on how frequently he should be used. I must admit, he rather surprised me yesterday with his fitness and attitude on the pitch. The goal was well-taken, no doubt about it, and showed just why Arsene decided to trust in him to fill the gap for this short period of time. His movement was sharp, and he hasn’t quite lost his famous pace as many were having me believe.

Nitesh: How often should Henry play for Arsenal now? 7

Posted on January 07, 2012 by Nitesh

Arsenal fans have been mostly delighted with the return of The King to Arsenal, with Henry himself saying how delighted he was to return to the lush green Emirates pitch.

“I’m pleased [to sign Henry] because it took a little while to get the paperwork done, but finally it is done,” he said.

“He works hard, but he is a bit behind physically. In one or two weeks he will be fine. He will be involved against Leeds. At the moment 90 minutes is a bit long for him because he has not played for a long time.”

Mikaeel: Is Thierry Henry the greatest ever Arsenal player? 5

With so many greats that have come out of Arsenal over the years such as Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires, Tony Adams and Patrick Vieira just to name a few, non who seem more spectacular than Thierry Henry. Henry leaving Arsenal was one of the saddest moments I’ve experienced as a football fan. He was not only a footballing icon as to what he achieved with Arsenal but to leave his most beloved club and go to Spain with Barcelona and be successful there as well is quite remarkable and shows what an unbelievable professional he really is.

Weslee: Henry’s return to Arsenal took too long in coming ! 4

So let us get over the excitement of the possibility and look at the reality of the deal. Thierry Henry should have returned to Arsenal after leaving Barcelona, period. He could have been a coach/player until he assumed a full time coach position. However, I am sure that he felt that he could continue to play very good football and that is why he went to New York. He also was given an excellent amount of money. On top of this he had to deal with the aftermath of his divorce which occurred in London. I am sure that due to this fluctuating period in his life he is a changed person. Life’s difficulty helps you see matters in a different light and so you adapt to the changes that were brought about by your behaviour. If you do not change you begin to slip in life. He seems to be doing well in New York.

Kamil: Arsenal don’t need Podolski or Goetze – just Thierry Henry! 6

All right this is my first post, or blog, or whatever you call it. But I just want to share my knowledge on Arsenal and how our season has gone so far, and also what our plans should be for the future and the coming transfer market.

Firstly we are linked with the likes of Podolski, Goetze and Henry. Great players individually, but do we really need them?

Should Arsenal get back Henry on loan? 5

Dear Gooners just a quick blog to wish you a very happy Xmas and new year.

But I would love to hear what you all think on the possibility of a true legend returning to Arsenal. And of course by that I mean Henry. For me, I believe a month’s loan would be great for the morale of the team and would push us forward and also help Robin Van Persie out. Henry in my opinion can only be a good signing; Cham and Park are not cutting it so far and Gervinho is on his way to the African cup, as is Cham. Yes, I believe we must move on and buy a striker as well, but Henry without a doubt would be a great addition to the team.
