Arsene Wenger just cheered up Arsenal fans all over the world by admitting that the Gunners were one of the clubs interested in signing the young German star Mario Goetze.

The German international has been hailed as the ‘German Jack Wilshere’ and if he is as promising as our own young star then the hope is that they could become the dominant midfield partnership in the Premiership for the next decade.
