Just Arsenal Fans

Dear Gooners

Today I would like some serious feedback on a fan base that I believe is changing. I’m not looking for an argument, I’m looking for an opinion, a view on how you see things on your beloved club. I have been an Arsenal fan for around 30 years now. And I have been going to watch the Arsenal for at least 28 years. In my years of following the club, be it at home or away matches, over the last 5 years of that time I believe I have seen a huge change in the Arsenal fan base. It seems there is a huge divide around the Gooner world and I find this sad. Im not coming on here saying I’m right and everyone else is wrong. Believe me, I’m sure at least half of you will disagree with me in a big way, but to get a view on people’s thoughts would be most welcome. First of all it’s a relief being able to freely visit the internet without fear of pounding on a nasty Arsenal article. I now declare the internet safe for any gunner around the world (as if I have that authority). After months of attacks on our Arsenal from within and outside, the heat seems to have reduced to a manageable level. Much of the heat from outside never bothered me for the reason that it ranged from normal talk from fans of other teams to haters experts giving their analysis in football shows. The heat from within was a cause for concern, our “fans” had all sorts of ideas that I can honestly say were absurd.  Read more...
