Yes Arsenal have this daunting task of taking on arguably the best team in the world across all positions and try to win their tie against Bayern Munich.
When the draw happened in Zurich, there was collective gasps and some sort of relief that we didn’t draw Barca but i think that was more psychological than anything else, The actual realization will be felt when the Bavarians line up against the Gunners in the first leg of the Champions league at the Emirates. When the final whistle a Stamford Bridge blew for the match between Chelsea and Man City, I heaved a major sigh of relief. FINALLY, City is defeated in the Premier League. This loss is the first in 15 for Roberto Mancini’s side and it blows the title race wide open. A tally as huge as 7 teams could potentially bring the elusive Barclays Premier League trophy home and be crowned champions of England come May 2012.
Of course, Arsenal are one of the 7 teams which could potentially bring the trophy home. Sitting in 5th place with a point tally of 29, 9 off the pace of Man City, many critics would straightaway write off Arsenal’s credentials. Read more...
