Thierry Henry had the dream re-start to his Arsenal career yesterday with the winning goal in an otherwise-monotonous FA Cup game. Coming off the bench, winning the cup match for Arsenal, TH12 showed why he is, and will always be, an Arsenal legend.
I had done a blog previously, giving my opinion on how frequently he should be used. I must admit, he rather surprised me yesterday with his fitness and attitude on the pitch. The goal was well-taken, no doubt about it, and showed just why Arsene decided to trust in him to fill the gap for this short period of time. His movement was sharp, and he hasn’t quite lost his famous pace as many were having me believe.
The goal would have brought a welcome smile to many Arsenal faces after the defeat at Fulham, and his return certainly spiced up things a lot at the club. Let’s leave alone all the different rumours that are circulating around the web these days and concentrate on the manpower that we have available. Henry showed me just why I still trust in Arsene, and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in supporting the Frenchman for looking to one of his brought-up legends. Let’s hope that Henry can inspire the dressing-room, and get that 227-goal tally further up.
And in other news… though I still hate Man Shitty and everything it stands for, the fact that the FA turned down their appeal for Kompany’s red card is an absolute joke! It wasn’t even a yellow, let alone a red, and our dear governing body showed how messed up it is. No doubt SAF must have given an opinion of his own to them too….
