Mo – How will Arsenal cope with Man United?

It is no secret that we are struggling to score goals at the moment so what are we going to do at Man Utd? One positive is that Utd have been conceding a lot lately, but the problem is that we are not scoring. These are my worries, I think Sir Alex will put Nani on the right wing to make Santos and our lives miserable. Nani on his day is a handful, anyone remember the match a few years back and what he did to Clichy?
From a goal keeper point of view, well it is not like we have got many options. The rest of the defence I am pretty happy with. Sagna yesterday looked sharp, I think he has even lost a bit of weight making him quicker.I think, though, we should put TV5 on the left if Gibbs isn’t back.
In the centre, Arteta, Cazorla and Wilshere (welcome back).
Now the Final third, I think this is the department where we are actually struggling. On the right wing I would hope Ox is fit, if not then Walcott, if not then Jenkinson might be an option. He is quick and will help in defense and can whip in a few decent crosses. The only thing I am aiming at is NOT RAMSEY.
Centre forward, Giroud. Seriously, yesterday he was only given one chance from that Arshavin cross which I felt he headed beautifully and in the end it led to the goal. Now the left wing, I would have normally said Podolski but the German hasn’t been impressive recently. I am not sure if it’s because the partnership with Santos is a poor one, I really don’t know.
I wouldn’t mind giving Arshavin a go in that position, but I am pretty sure Wenger will start with Podolski. If things aren’t moving our way, depending on who is performing poorly, I think Arshavin would be a good 20 mins replacement for Podolski or Cazorla (who has been off slightly). Ramsey should come on to replace Wilshere, to rest him, because I am sure he will be great (fingers crossed) but also, Ramsey coming off the bench always seems to have something to prove and plays really well.
Our wingers are all a bit off at the moment; OX injured, The contract problems with Theo, Podolski below par or out of position and Gervinho is frustrating. Wouldn’t it be a good idea if we call back RYO what do you guys think?
i think ryo at this time would’ve been a great option as a sub, i guess wenger didnt anticipate loosing so many wingers so early in the season. however serge gnabry has shown some promise. i guess wenger might bring him in as a late sub, a strong, fast and a tricky winger such as gnabry would be a great option maybe he can cross n put the opposition under some pressure late on and create some useful chances.

Hope Wenger and the Board are proud of their decision to sell Van Persie to United..!! Talk about shooting yourself in the foot! Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are capable of beating Utd but we need absolutely everything to go right. When you play the way we do the margin for error is zero.
Even with a front line that is struggling i still think we can win if we defend well like we did away at Liverpool and City.
Why not 5 in Midfield with Giroud as the lone striker.
It should be about getting a result not proving a point to RVP.
If we play open football we will loose.
The defense has to be protected for us to stand a chance.
Finally show the players to tape of the shambles last season.

Did you notice how we started to get forward and play when Ramsey was moved into his proper position? If Arteta and Cazorla play in CM at Old Trafford- we will get nowhere quickly- whoever plays in the three with them. They are incapable of taking the ball forward, passing and moving for the return. We need some energy in there. The Coq, Ramsey and Jack with the Ox, Caz and Wally up front would give us more drive and pace– and we will need that.

If we play football like at times when we do it better than anyone else we can win. If we hide then defeat is on the cards. Arsenal can win it just depends on are starting line up and if players like Podolski and arshavin are not being wasted.

arshavin and giroud look like we have a deadly combination brewing there. just maybe.giroud intelegent we should try to xplore that option

Five in midfield does not have to be nagative.
We can defend and attack in numbers.
After all that formation got us to a Champions League and we kept clean sheets and scored loads of goals.
I’m not saying we should be play like that every week but Wenger never picks a team to stop the opposition and i think he should sometimes.
