Kash: One striker Arsenal SHOULD NOT buy

Arsenal shouldn’t go after Sturridge at all by Kash

Talksport are reporting that Arsenal and Liverpool are both interested in the Chelsea forward, Daniel Sturridge. It is well publicised that Arsene Wenger is looking for a new forward to lead the line (along with Giroud) for Arsenal and it makes sense to buy one from the Premier League as the settling-in period would be greatly reduced.

I personally am pretty underwhelmed. I’ve never really rated Sturridge. He doesn’t display any real footballing intelligence. He is already 23 and has still not broken into the first team at Chelsea. Usually, that wouldn’t be a big deal but last season, they barely had any good wingers as well as a misfiring Torres. He should’ve grabbed the opportunity with both hands. But instead, he has faded away.

My point is further backed up by the England international squad. He really can’t get close to the team now and players like Chamberlain are rightfully preferred to him. The Ox is only 18 and yet shows immense ability for someone so young. Roy Hodgson has fast forwarded him into the first team and the kid is really proving to be one of the best youngsters in England.

Arsenal are in the process of rebuilding the squad again for what seems to be a new era for the club. The debts are finally being paid off in a stable manner as well as the club managing to consistently hit the Champions League spots. The club is finally set for Financial Fair Play (which could entirely backfire if not enforced properly). We need to buy players that will improve the squad – not Chelsea rejects.

The worst part of Sturridge is that he is extremely ball greedy. He would rather take a speculative shot than give the winning pass. That has severely affected his chances at Chelsea and no doubt at any other big club. We all know that Wenger loves the passing game and Sturridge won’t be able to do any of it.

I know for a fact that Wenger is looking for a big name striker in January. He is very interested in Llorente. There is also rumoured interest in Adrian Lopez from Atletico Madrid as well as Robert Lewandowski from Dortmund. These are the type of players Arsenal should be looking at. They are at the primes of their careers and are going to make a title challenge at the business end of the season. Sturridge cannot do any of these things.

Wenger should steer clear of the Chelsea blue. He is not worth our time. If we really wanted a pacey striker, Wenger should just deploy Walcott there….

Theo is far better than the chelsea reject. In my opinion, Walcot should be deployed upfront instead of wasting money on that selfish chelsea outcast.

Oh the irony of the big spenders.
City did’nt want him and now Chelsea do’nt want him either.
Let that be a lesson to all the rest.
Now I assume he wants the stability of a proper club with team spirit and history…..
Wenger could make him better but we don’t need him.
Is’nt amazing that just two months ago we were being laughed by the media because we could’nt attract big names.
Now the same idiots are linking us with every name under the sun.
