Deal For Nasri Still Not Finalised
The transfer or Samir Nasri from Arsenal to Manchester City is still in doubt with a little over a week of the transfer period left. While City boss Roberto Mancini is still keen for Nasri to join the Blues but might change his mind if Nasri becomes cup tied for the Champions League.
Asked by the Guardian if the deal is still on Mancini said: “in the next 24 hours, maybe 48 hours”. However Arsene Wenger says that nothing has been finalised yet and says that a transfer is: “a long, long way away”.
Also Wenger has no problem with playing Nasri in the game against Udinese this week, saying: “What is important to us is to qualify”.
In the Liverpool game it was clear that Nasri provides the creativity in midfield that Arsenal need to unlock defences. While Ramsey and Wilshere are capable of doing so it’s unfair to place such a burden on even younger players.
All sides will hope that the transfer is resolves soon, whichever way it goes. Arsenal need to be able to bring in a replacement as soon as possible if they don’t want to be left short in midfield.

We play Nasri on wednesday and we qualify for the group stage that is 20m pounds plus player gain for Arsenal for one season. i feel it will be wise to play Nasri on wednesday and risk the potential loss of 22m if we do not qualify. but the odds is in our favour because i do not see why with VAN PERSIE, SONG, NASRI & GERVINHO in the team we will not get the result needed to qualify. All gunners will prefer to qualify and let Nasri go for free next season. but who says he cannot renew his contract as the season wears on especially if arsenal is doing well

I would just like to give Nasri a half hearted (im sorry) I dont like the fact he wont sign a contract and it seems its the money that will take him. But i do admire the way he played for Arsenal saturday. I was at the game and he was outstanding even at the final whistle when we lost he was so upset. He played his heart out. Whever that is for his ticket out or not but Nasri tried hard all game and i thank him for at least that.

any info as to why the tranfer broke down ? am guessing it has to do with his greddy agents and not the player himself .. cos there is no reason why it should stall.. guess the Mr 20% are looking to line their pockets to the detriment of the player .. but lets be factual where will he play ? Yaya , barry , de jong , milner , silva n adam johnson all vying for same position … who do u drop ? i definitely dnt envy mancini
