Big Gun-Cazorla deal in the bag (plus video) 3

Posted on August 03, 2012 by admin

As we speak, the 27 year old, Spanish International Santi Cazorla is preparing for a medical at the Emirates.

His current club, Malaga CF in La Liga, are in serious financial difficulty and are looking to cash in on a few of their star players to avoid a possible relegation from debt.

The alleged transfer fee is agreed to be 17.3m, quite a sum considering Wenger’s strict transfer policy. Well worth it though, as Santi Cazorla is exactly the type of player we need in the attacking midfield role. Skill, vision, experience and an absolute cracker of a first shot is what this man has to offer. With Wilshere out till October due to a niggling ankle injury, we will definitely need some creativity in the midfield.

John-Wenger the puppet for a useless board 8

Posted on July 27, 2012 by admin

Dear Gooners

I wish you all very well. Today is just a small blog from myself and I’m asking you guys what I have asked many times before. Can we now not see that our club is being wrecked buy a board that only has desire to make money? Wenger has taken so much abuse from some of the people on this site, but I’m telling I am 100 percent sure the board have said, (Right Wenger, we will give you this to spend and just keep us in the top 6). Even if you read Van Persie’s statement, he speaks highly of Wenger but chooses not to mention the men upstairs. Wenger has made it clear that he wants to keep Van Persie until his contract expires. So does this now not put all the rubbish to one side and tell us it’s not Wengers fault?

Money not platitudes are needed to take Arsenal back to the top-Michael 13

Who does Wenger think he is fooling when he says that he believes that Arsenal can win the league?

When there was a level playing field Arsenal could proudly boast to being a top team, capable of winning the league and every other competition; but with the arrival of the oligarch to West London and the sheikh to Manchester, everything changed.
Abramovich threw hundreds of millions at his pet project and if something didn’t work he threw it away and started again.

Sheikh Mansour has done exactly the same at Manchester City; the difference being that part of the building process has involved taking some of Arsenal’s best talent.

How will Arsenal shape up in 2012. January, February and March. by Anonymous

Well as we look at the table roughly at the half way stage we are 5th.

How will this all change between now and the end of the season?

Nitesh: A couple of important developments on the site [NOT related to Arsenal FC] 22

Posted on November 10, 2011 by Nitesh

This isn’t a blog related to Arsenal at all, but is certainly one related to Arsenal supporters.

First and foremost, the person using the name ‘Gunnersfan!’ has now been banned from this site. This, after increased debate on my earlier post. I am quite happy with fans engaging in a bit of banter, and would always encourage fans to converse with each other. But lines were crossed last time round, and his abusive rants resulted in him being booted off. You CANNOT refer to someone’s dad like that, and it was plain disheartening to see how some people’s minds work. He is now permanently banned from the site, and will NOT be allowed back, no matter what the case.

Luke: Too ‘Arsh – Andrei disapproves of Wenger’s “severe” methods at Arsenal 15

Posted on November 10, 2011 by admin

Russian rascal Andrei Arshavin has slated Arsène Wenger’s system at Arsenal, accusing his manager of being strict and over-rigid in giving certain players chances.

As well as mentioning a possible move in the future if he continues to be “glued to the bench”, he said, “At the moment, he has more faith in Walcott and Gervinho [in wide roles], and under his current scheme, I bet there will not be [a chance to play centrally]. Our midfielders are now playing deep… He has his own philosophy, a special Wenger look. He is not as stubborn as Dick Advocaat, but he is perhaps more severe. When difficulties occur, nobody in Arsenal even considers going to him on matters concerning football to try and change something, everyone knows what the answer will be”.

Nitesh: Enough with the ‘Arsenal after XYZ’ rumours already ! 7

Posted on November 07, 2011 by Nitesh

Arsenal FC must have been linked with at least a dozen big names in the past one week alone. And while these names such as Goetze and Pato and Podolski and all will be good additions if they do come in, I can’t help but feel that this uncertainty causes a detrimental effect on the team’s morale.

Pontus: Arsenal have only dropped 7 points this season; we WILL get back ! 7

7 POINTS – WE CAN DO IT!

Haters, start your hating. Here goes:

OK, so we’ve lost to what is arguably the best Tottenham team we’ve seen since the dark ages. We’ve also been forced to realize that we need all our best players and a great chunk of luck in order to beat Man U away. We’ve learnt that our defensive game is not up to scratch and we have realized that our lack of leadership on the field can cause us to fall through in games where we should be able to win comfortably. During the transfer season we have also seen how our wage cap has limited our options when it comes to strengthening the squad with super talent.

Paul: Is it time Arsenal convert to 4-4-2 ?? 22

Posted on September 21, 2011 by Nitesh

We started last night’s game with a 4-4-2 formation and looked very fluid. Also, we seemed to be pressing more higher up the pitch which is something I think we should do in every game. So with that in mind I was thinking that maybe it is time we use this or something similar in the league and in Europe, because let’s face–  the 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 or whatever you want to call it revolved around a player who is no longer with the club and it just isn’t working now so maybe it’s high time for a change. Last season it seemed to work well and I don’t see any reason why we can’t try it out. It would certainly give RVP some help up front and I also think we will be more solid at the back. With a change in personnel it could be very productive both home and away.

Simeon: Was it really a good transfer window for Arsenal? 28

Posted on September 01, 2011 by Nitesh

So it’s the end of the summer transfer madness. And we are all “happy” gooners. But let’s be realistic : several days and one six margin loss ago things were different. After all the cursing and bitching about star-players leave and having a stubborn wily-old manager things look a bit different.

Previously I had a story about offloading some of the pressure from our beloved manager, but the comments were rather negative. Now we all read about “In Arsene we trust” and “Where are you now Arsene haters?!” . Unfortunatelly these word came from the very same people that were so abusive and showed pure arrogance and dissrespect towards Wenger. Now it’s different and I hope that some people will think more next time they make statements like that.
