Posted on August 29, 2014 by Pat

The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has rubbished the idea of signing another striker. by OG

When asked about the reports of the injured standing striker Oliver Giroud, the Arsenal boss said in response that there is no need in filling the vacuum left by the Frenchman.

Wenger said: “We have many players that fits into the position, such as world cup winner Lukas Poldoski, Yaya Sanogo and also (when the England international returns to fitness) Theo Walcott, and summer deal Alexis Sanchez who can fit in well”

Arsenal fans should ignore the odds and believe! 0

There is a theory that the bookies are always right, but if that was true, Arsenal would be around mid-table and out of the FA cup by now. The media and so-called football experts have been predicting doom and disaster for Arsenal since the season began, but they also predicted that Tottenham would rule north London this season and knock us out of the Champions League places, so what do they know?

DOL – Arsenal need signings but NOT Suarez or Rooney 0

What’s the time Spurs fan, 5-2 sir by David O Leary

The main thing this summer was no distractions or drawn out transfers of Arsenal players trying to leave the club, and it has had a major benefit on the team over pre-season. Finally we have a group of players that want to play for the shirt which can only be a good thing. Some really promising signs from the core of British players over the last 10 games of last season and again yesterday against Man City, who have all signed long term deals showing their commitment to the club and what Wenger is trying to do.

Tamer – How to spot a fake Arsenal transfer rumour 1

Posted on July 16, 2013 by Bob

Ok so it’s the end of the football season *sob* *sob* but it will be back Arsenal fans. The greatest show on earth lies before us, so what do I hear you thinking to yourself? Yes it’s the transfer window, and the rumours that come with it.

If you are a veteran of such things you will know that with great transfers come great fakes. (Sorry couldn’t think of anything better than that) So how do you spot the fakes? Well first you have to apply logic when reading up on these sites, Facebook, Twitter (though along the years Twitter has become quite reliable when it comes to transfers) Facebook pages can be the worst at times.

Stefan – If Arsenal sign Higuain or Suarez, will Giroud have a place? 7

Posted on July 15, 2013 by Bob

As we know the press has been going crazy with the Arsenal transfer saga’s over Higuain and Suarez. There is still a lot of uncertainty over both deals but the fans won’t let Arsene Wenger off lightly if we start the new season with only Yaya Sanogo signed up. There is the expectation now that once these bids of 20 and 30 odd million have been made, they should continue to be made if the top targets are not available. It will be absolutely unacceptable if deals for both Suarez and Higuain fall apart and Wenger rolls into the new season with no improvement to the squad.

AD – What’s your best Arsenal game in recent years? 8

Posted on June 29, 2013 by Bob

I was thinking about the Gunners and our long wait for a trophy, but at least with Arsenal we are blessed with fluent and attractive football. With that in mind I invite you tell us what has been, for you, the best game of Arsenal in the last few years.

As we know Arsenal is a club known for its elegant passing, swift counter attacks and passionate link up play. According to me, a match that had all of these things and the best game I saw, was the 2nd leg of the first knockout round against AC Milan in the Champions League at the Emirates last March.

BD – Why Arsenal must complete Fellaini transfer 3

Posted on June 25, 2013 by Bob

I’ve always been fond of the tall Belgian. His impressing figure, long legs and afro you just can’t miss in a field full of shaved skulls (I mean you Howard Webb) and long ‘lion king’ haircuts(I mean you, everyone else). I think there’s not one team that wouldn’t be jumping up and down by the chance of him joining them (maybe not Man City, since I think Pellegrini will look to Spain for his reinforcements). And it comes as a surprise for me, that nobody has snatched him before – 23 million doesn’t strike me as an amount Chelsea/United couldn’t pay for him.

Amin – DM and other key areas that will help Arsenal win trophies 9

Posted on June 04, 2013 by Bob

The importance of a DM and how we can reorient our key areas

The Arsenal philosophy of using a defensive midfielder has helped the club in so many areas for the past decades. Our recent inability to compete for the trophies, for me, lies in three key areas. Let us move Arteta back to the holding midfield role so that he will support the likes of Wilshere, Cazorla, Ramsey, Rosicky, and Oxlade-Chamberlain at the middle of play.

Eric- Time for Arsenal to stand up and be counted 1

Stand Up You Gunners by EUE

The time is now for Arsenal to show the stuff we are really capable of achieving. We have our destiny in our own hands and only ourselves to blame should we fail. God forbid.

Let’s forget about the little boys down the lane and instead concentrate on gaining the six points we need to be counted among the elite next season and maybe the boys down the lane will learn a trick or two from us.

Nnoruka – Arsenal MUST be more direct against Bayern 2

Posted on February 19, 2013 by Bob

If Arsenal are to win against Bayern Munich and begin a credible progress up the EPL table, in the hope of making it to the 4th position, we must go out and play positive attacking football. It will not do to continue business as usual, passing the ball forward and backward, being patient and waiting for the chance for an elegant breakthrough to score the wonder goal.
